Paddle power awards (juniors) is a national governing body award designed for younger paddlers leading to the UKCC/BCU star awards that allows folk to monitor their progress

UKCC/BCU Star Awards

1 – 2 Star in canoes and kayaks looking at flat water generic paddling skills.

A great course if your thinking about hiring/buying a canoe or kayak or just looking to get into paddling

Moving water skills on up to grade two water.

Land Based

Basic Navigator

A one day basic introduction to navigation skills and country side exploration. Looking at appropriate equipment/clothing. Country code, using a map and compass, weather and safety, whilst undertaking a low level valley wonder. Great little course for those wanting to gain knowledge before heading out.

First aid

R.E.C     Rescue Emergency Care

The REC scheme provides a comprehensive and flexible training programme that extends the competency of the participants.

16 hour Emergency First Aid course

Run over 2 days

This course is designed for outdoor professionals who wish to keep NGB qualifications valid. The assessment element which is required is provided by scenario based continual self assessment.

4 hour First Responder course
